Ski Sales Associate

Full-Time Seasonal | Warren, Vermont

Alpine Options is looking for an avid skier to join our sales team full-time for the 2026–2027 ski season.

We care more about whether you ski, understand why equipment matters and genuinely enjoy helping people than whether you arrive with an extensive sales résumé. Ski-shop experience is welcome, but curiosity, reliability and a willingness to learn are more important.

The position

Our Ski Sales Associate helps customers select skis, bindings, poles, helmets, technical clothing, accessories and other equipment sold throughout the shop.

Ski boots are handled by our professional boot fitters. However, this position must develop enough boot knowledge to recognize when a customer needs a boot fitter and provide an effective handoff in either direction.

Customer service and sales are the heart of the position. Responsibilities also include:

• Welcoming customers and understanding what they actually need

• Explaining equipment clearly and honestly

• Learning Alpine Options’ products and services

• Coordinating effectively with our boot-fitting and service departments

• Stocking products and supplies

• Keeping displays and sales areas organized

• Participating in the everyday work required to operate a busy independent ski shop

This is not a management position and does not carry direct responsibility for inventory levels.

Who we are looking for

The right person:

• Is an avid skier with firsthand knowledge of skiing and ski equipment

• Enjoys working with customers and asking good questions

• Is dependable and comfortable working as part of a close shop team

• Is willing to learn from experienced ski-industry professionals

• Can work weekends and busy holiday periods

• Values good customer service over high-pressure selling

Previous retail, sales or customer-service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right skier.

Schedule and compensation

• Full-time seasonal position

• Labor Day 2026 through April 30, 2027

• Weekend and holiday availability required

• $22–$28 per hour, based on experience

Ski Boot Fitter

Full-Time Seasonal | Warren, Vermont

Alpine Options is looking for a ski boot fitter to join our team full-time for the 2026–2027 ski season.

You do not need extensive experience with modifications. You do need some experience independently fitting customers and a genuine understanding that good boot fitting requires more than selecting a size and moving on to the next appointment.

We value careful work, humility and lasting fit over volume.

The position

Our boot fitters assess and size customers’ feet, help them select appropriate boots and guide them through the fitting process in a friendly and patient manner.

Applicants should have hands-on familiarity with the broader components of good boot fitting. This may include shell assessment and modification, liner molding, footbeds and follow-up adjustments. We do not require equal experience in every technique, but we are looking for someone whose fitting background extends beyond basic sizing and sales.

Boot fitting at Alpine Options is built around trust. Our fitters listen carefully, explain their recommendations and work with customers to solve problems rather than rushing them through an appointment.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently assessing and sizing customers’ feet

• Recommending appropriate boots based on fit, skiing and individual needs

• Explaining the fitting process clearly and honestly

• Recognizing when footbeds, liner work, shell modifications or other solutions may be appropriate

• Helping customers with follow-up fit questions and adjustments

• Recommending relevant products such as footbeds, boot-heater systems and boot accessories

• Stocking and organizing the boot department

• Coordinating effectively with the sales and service teams

• Assisting customers with skis, clothing, accessories and other products when time permits

• Participating in the everyday work required to operate a busy independent ski shop

This is not a management position and does not carry direct responsibility for inventory levels.

Who we are looking for

• Has experience independently fitting ski boots

• Is an avid skier who understands how boot fit affects the experience on snow

• Approaches customers with patience, humility and curiosity

• Values a lasting, accurate fit over speed and sales volume

• Wants to continue developing technical boot-fitting skills

• Understands that boot fitting is both a technical craft and a customer-service role

• Is comfortable helping throughout the shop when needed

• Can work weekends and busy holiday periods

Schedule and compensation

• $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
